Instead of waiting to be matched, the student and host family begin the process together while OCEAN guides both sides through screening, school placement, and exchange program requirements.

How the Process Works
Step 1: Student Inquiry
The student contacts OCEAN and shares interest in a direct placement.
Step 2: Host Family Application
The proposed host family completes the host family application and screening process.
Step 3: Background Checks & Home Review
All host homes must meet U.S. Department of State program requirements.
Step 4: School Acceptance
Local school enrollment must be approved before final placement.
Step 5: Final Approval
Once all requirements are complete, the student may be approved for placement.
